Today we are presenting another of our toilets: the facility on Ostwall in Xanten.

It is located in a wooden toilet building with a steel structure. A surrounding air vent brings some daylight into the room. Inside, there is a barrier-free toilet with a raised seat, backrest, and folding support handles, as well as a urinal. Everything is clearly arranged and easily accessible.

The location is right next to the skate park in the spa gardens, the “Park der Begegnung” (Park of Encounters). From here, it is only a few steps to the parking lot or the city center. The spa gardens are a green circular path around the center. They invite people of all ages to take a walk and linger. A large playground is located a little further along the path. The toilet is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and was built in 2018.

Xanten combines history and the future. The city was founded by the Romans and plays a role in the Nibelungenlied. At the same time, with a waterless, odorless, and sustainable toilet, it shows what modern infrastructure can look like. It is worth a visit for its culture, nature, and relaxed atmosphere. And it’s good to know that there is a comfortable toilet nearby.
