Today we’re introducing another one of our restrooms: the facility at the “Wilder Kermeter” hiking parking lot in the Eifel National Park.
The restroom building is a bright, spacious wooden structure. It was built in 2009 and blends in well with the natural surroundings. It features a general restroom, a utility room, and an accessible restroom.
In both restroom stalls, users will find a toilet seat, a urinal, and a sink. This ensures comfort, even when there are many visitors. The wastewater from the sinks is treated by a constructed wetland. This means natural purification using plants instead of chemicals.
The location is a great starting point for hikes across the Kermeter. This mountain range offers vast forests and quiet trails. The facilities for people with visual impairments are also noteworthy. This makes nature accessible to more people.
The parking lot has plenty of free spaces. Picnic tables and a shelter invite visitors to linger. Here, visitors can begin or end their hike in a relaxed atmosphere.
Places like this demonstrate how important reliable infrastructure is. Our restroom systems offer a clean and sustainable solution—even in heavily visited natural areas.
