Between gentle vineyards and the dark forests of the Black Forest lies the Ortenau – a region that delights connoisseurs and nature lovers alike. Here, on the edge of the Rhine plain, picturesque winegrowing villages are lined up one after the other, and hiking trails, viewpoints and regional specialties invite you to discover and linger. Whether you are strolling through the vineyards, exploring castles and palaces or simply enjoying the Baden joie de vivre: Ortenau is a paradise for active people and those seeking peace and quiet alike.

In a wonderfully idyllic winegrower’s hut near Oberkirch, clubs will find a practical shelter. Situated in the middle of the vineyards, it not only offers a cozy ambience for convivial hours, but also a modern and clean solution for an often underestimated need: the toilet. One of our toilets has been located here since 2019. You’ll find a classic toilet seat as well as a urinal and a washbasin with water canisters. So there’s nothing standing in the way of odor-free defecation next to the barbecue. It’s great that sustainable toilets offer comfort and hygiene away from traditional infrastructure.

For everyone in the south-west of Germany: simply ask the municipality of Oberkirch about the hut. Nothing stands in the way of a carefree day in the Ortenau – including the good feeling that the small but important things have also been thought of.
